BSM sale commission rate for NEW INDUCTIONS is being lifted from 3% to 4% after June 30, 2009. If you purchase cattle prior to June 30, you are locked in at the old sale commission rate when your cattle are sold.
More cattle are due to be sold off Roma properties in July while inductions at Wybalena have been slow concentrating on lighter british-breed heifers. Over 50mm has been recorded at Wybalena in June and 30-40mm on Qld. properties.
Cattle are allocated on a lightest to heaviest basis, first in first served. A note to non GST registered purchasers -
By not suppling an ABN or being GST registered you will not be able to claim back any GST that you pay on cattle, backgrounding fees, commission at sale time and any other GST applicable costs. Also - when your cattle are sold the sale price will not include GST as you are not a GST registered supplier. This will affect the profit potential of your cattle ownership.
